What is the difference between Casual and Fine dining?

  2. Casual is like pubs, coffehouses, bristos…basically there isn’t a long wait for food. Fine dining is somewhere you end up ordering a appetizer cuz ur starving and by the time your dish comes out ur full LOL!

    But the differ in terms of :
    Causal dining:
    One is usually greeted and seated by a host or hostess upon entry. there is table service -orders are taken and delivered by waited staff
    Ambiance is usually cool, calm and very casual.
    They attract middle income individuals so the tip is usually 10% of meal price
    Meals are usually not very expensive
    payment of meals is made aftr meals are consumed
    Buffet style is not served at these restaurants, but meals are simple and non gourmet and fast prepared.
    Minimal dress code in effect
    Eg TGI, tony romas etc
    Fine dining
    Meal prices are expensive
    Tip is usually 20-25% of meal price but this varies.
    Ambience and style is usually themed and formal
    They offer full service as well
    Payment is made aftr meals.
    Tables are covered with white table cloths
    Dress code is in effect- formal to semi formal
    Service is accesses via reservations
    Meal style is usually gourmet style
    Cutlery is usually tailored to the theme and rules of ettiqute applies when using them but not in causal
